How to Apply

The study abroad programme is open to any student who wishes to follow a credit-based programme over one or two semesters. It allows you to choose modules from a wide range of subjects available throughout the University.

How do I apply?

In the first instance you will need to discuss your wish to study abroad with your home institution and specifically with your Study Abroad Office.

They can work with you to advise on the application procedure and on how to choose appropriate modules for your individual requirements.

You should research your module requests using our 'Constructing your Programme' page and select a minimum of ten modules on your application.

Please complete the relevant application form and submit it along with the following supporting documents:

  • Academic transcript (in English)
  • Copy of the personal details page of your passport (can be submitted at a later stage if you are in the process of applying for one)
  • Portfolio (if applying for an art or design programme)

Please email your completed application materials to Northumbria's Study Abroad Team on er.study-abroad@northumbria.ac.uk

If you have any further questions please contact Northumbria's Study Abroad Team using the form below.
