Carribbean Elective - St Lucia
A range of internship programmes in St Lucia. The Law programme is only available to Law students and our Mental Health programme* is particularly relevant to students on any healthcare themed degree, social care or psychology.
Caribbean Elective's programmes offer powerful opportunities to engage with local communities and leave your mark.
Application deadline:
Monday 12th January at midday.
When:
Flexible summer start dates for 29-days or 15-days.
Programme dates:
June - 1st-29th June OR 2nd-30th June OR 1st-15th June OR 2nd-16th June (excluding Leadership and Conservation Programmes)
July - 2nd-30th July OR 3rd-31st July OR 2nd-16th July OR 3rd-17th July
August - 2nd-30th August OR 3rd-31st August OR 2nd-16th August OR 3rd-17th August
Spaces available for this project:
There are 3 grants available for students who meet any of the widening participation criteria. There are 2 smaller grants available for students who do not meet any criteria.
Students who are not accepted for funding can still participate in the programme and be covered by the university's insurance
Funding available:
There are three grants available for students who meet any of the widening participation criteria:
Living cost grant 4-weeks: £609
Living cost grant 2-weeks: £315
Travel grant: up to £745
Additional costs: up to £40 this supports payment towards buying/renewing a passport, travel insurance and vaccinations
For those who do not meet any of the criteria there is a grant of £493 for 4-weeks or £255 for 2-weeks available.
Programme fee:
The programme fee for the 4-week programme is £1,799 and the 2-week programme is £1,430 including a £200 deposit.
