Challenges Abroad – Tanzania

On the Tanzania Sports Leadership Challenge, you will be based in Usa River on the outskirts of Arusha. You will learn about the Tanzanian culture and gain a first-hand experience of life in Tanzania, while working with local children to run sports and other related activities.  

In Tanzania, children are eager to learn and love sports. Depending on the time of year you could get the opportunity to run holiday sports camps or after-school sports clubs for children at the local schools. During term time, you could also run morning assemblies with stretching activities for the whole school or deliver PE or workshops promoting healthy habits.

Funding available: 

There is £1,493 in funding available for students who meet any of the widening participation criteria. There is £476 in funding for students who do not meet any criteria.

Programme cost: 

The programme cost is £1,795, including a registration fee of £195.
