Faraday discussion of emerging inorganic thin-films where presenters submitted a paper prior to an open discussion with the audience. Mostly characterisation studies of emerging materials including improving existing characterisation techniques, investigating novel chalcogenide designs and indium-free CIGS analogues.
- O. Rigby, M. Szablewski, B. Mendis. Progression in Grain Size of Novel Photoferroic Absorber Bournonite (CuPbSbS3), (poster presentation). IEEE PVSC 49. Philadelphia, June 5-10, 2022. Building a U.S. dependent supply chain for materials (outside of China). Huge range of topics from specific materials considerations to grid parity issues. Materials mostly focused on were Si and CdTe, looking at improving the efficiency of devices as much as possible.

- The main discussion revolved around presenting my paper which consisted of combining porous superhydrophobic surfaces with liquid-infused hydrophobic surface and surface acoustic waves (SAW) for controlling droplet impact.
- L. Haworth. Interfacial Evolution and Phase Changes of Rime Ice Activate d by Thin-Film Surface Acoustic Waves (15 minute presentation with 5 minutes of questions). Acoustofluidics 2022 International Conference. Glasgow, Scotland, 19-21st October 2022.
- The presentation revolved around the discussion of my second paper which describes the use of surface acoustic waves for removing and preventing the accumulation of rime ice on surfaces through utilising surface acoustic waves.

The two main topics were:
- Making Europe have a cost competitive silicon PV manufacturing supply chain with China and USA
- Integration of PV everywhere!! Floating, building integrated (BIPV), vehicle integrated (VIPV), Agri-PV, roads, paths. The idea that PV technology is here now at a low cost and both can and should integrated it everywhere. A lot of emphasis on aesthetic Si modules for BIPV applications.

- The second one was IEEE ICMTS 2023 Tokyo Japan 27-30 March, For this I did a visual presentation for a paper titled “Test Structures for Studying Coplanar Reverse-Electrowetting for Vibration Sensing and Energy Harvesting”
