The mission of the Northumbria Law School is to use high-quality research to deliver impactful, real-world change. Underpinned by a well-established and vibrant research culture, our work brings doctrinal, theoretical, and socio-legal perspectives to bear on the challenges of contemporary society; shaping agendas, policy, and law on a regional, national and global scale. 

As one of the largest Law Schools in the UK, we are well known for our pioneering integration of academic learning and legal practice. Our ambitious research agenda has seen us translate this historic approach of innovative and practical teaching into research excellence that is delivering and informing change in society.
