Northumbria University GREAT Scholarship - Pakistan

This year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Northumbria University is offering one tuition fee scholarship worth £10,000 to students in Pakistan applying for a one year Full-Time Postgraduate Taught course* for September 2026.

This scholarship scheme is part of the 'GREAT Scholarships 2026' campaign, which has been launched by the British Council together with UK universities to support more students to access excellent UK higher education opportunities.

This scholarship is available for programmes in the academic year 2026/27.

Terms and Conditions

To be eligible for the Northumbria GREAT Scholarship, you must:

  • Be an International student with ‘Overseas’ fee status
  • Be domiciled in Pakistan
  • Be a self-funded student (not in receipt of any sponsorship)
  • Have received and accepted an unconditional offer on a one year Full-Time Postgraduate Taught course* at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus, starting in September 2026
  • Meet all individual course requirements

How To Apply

Important Information

  • The GREAT Scholarship is applied automatically as a fee discount
  • This scholarship is for new students only.  If you are a graduate of Northumbria University you may be eligible for the Alumni Discount
  • Sponsored students are not eligible for the GREAT Scholarship
  • Students who are progressing from a partner institute where reduced fees and bespoke offers have been agreed, are not eligible for the GREAT Scholarship
  • The GREAT Scholarship is awarded as a fee discount and is not a cash sum
  • The GREAT Scholarship is non-transferrable and is only valid in the academic year 26/27
  • If you defer your place, the scholarship offer will be withdrawn
  • The University's decision is final and cannot be challenged; there is no right of appeal
