Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?
For the great things this city and country has to offer, experiencing life in a new way by living in a foreign country independently.
What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?
I enjoy the outdoors and Newcastle has plenty of that to offer. From attending games at St. James' Park, to experiencing the world-famous Geordie nightlife.
What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?
The range of activities and cultures you get to explore and learn throughout the time here.
Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?
Yes, it was extremely easy to fit in as everybody is in the same position as you, they are new to the place and are also looking for new friends.
What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?
Getting into the fusal team and the sporting activities.
Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?
Recent graduates whom I got to know over the past couple of years, what they've achieved after graduating is really inspiring.
What is your favourite place on campus?
Sport Central.
Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?
Yes, a big part of my time is spent on sports. I am at the sports central nearly seven days a week as I am part of the fusal team during the season and me and my friends often arrange intramural matches amongst ourselves.
What is the best thing about your course?
The content introduced me to something new, something which greatly interests me.
What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?
Who you know is more important than what you know.
What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?
Try to build as much connections as possible by networking.
Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?
I have started up my own business, it's still in the process but I expect to be launching it, along with three partners, not long after graduation.
Have you taken up any opportunities to travel with your current course/undertake field trips? If so, please tell us about them.
Yes, I took trips around the united kingdom, to places like Manchester, Liverpool, London and Durham.
If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?
It really is a once in a lifetime experience which you can not afford to miss out on!
How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?
I have become a much more matured person, much much more independent and also improved in cooking!
If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?
Best experience ever
Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?
I have five friends from Thailand who joined me here at Northumbria because of what I've said to them.
