What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Newcastle is famous for its people, Geordies, and also some sightseeing places such as Tynemouth and the Quayside.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Northumbria University is a friendly international university that treats all the students equally. The International Committee is friendly and makes us feel like home.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

The learning environment is very exciting at Northumbria University which is very different compared to the universities in my country. The education system and the workforce sector impressed me a lot.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

My course tutors helped me alot to get along with the people around campus and help me with the school works and to achieve good results in this degree program.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Sport Central of course because I love to do sports, and I tend to socialise with the people around town and had great time with them.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?

No, but I am planning to join volunteer projects but yet still couldnt find a suitable project.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Learn about soft skills, professionalism in the profession and to think about the future career.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I am planning to work in the IT field which is software engineering or software consultant that need many skills to be applied in the working environment. I had learnt programming skills and also professionalism element which I find it is important while working in a professional area.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Studying in Northumbria University creates success.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I have been able to work independantly, completed tasks with the minumum help, improved communications skills and soft skills.
