Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

For the part-time, flexible nature of the course.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I love Newcastle and regularly visit family nearby.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming?  Was it easy to fit in?

Yes.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

I definitely enjoy the course the most.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

Karen Hudson, Susan Edgar and Mike Cassidy.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Karen Hudson and the team.

What is your favourite place on campus?

I have only visited Coach Lane Campus but I would say the facilities there are great.

What is the best thing about your course?

The flexible nature of it. I would not have been able to access teacher training in any other way.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Too many to mention! I would probably say always ask for help if you need it!

What do you want to do in the future?  What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

Primary school teaching. The course is aimed specifically at this career.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement?  What were your most memorable experiences?

I have completed my placements in schools local to me.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

I highly recommend this course to any other parents out there who are looking to access teacher training but are unable to take the full-time route. It is extremely unique, innovative and flexible in the way that it is delivered.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

Confidence in teaching has grown and have found my future career path.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Inspiring, interesting, innovating.

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes definitely.
