Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

I chose Northumbria University because of the high recommendation I received from friends who are former students.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Newcastle is a quiet and a comfortable place. My favorite things to do are: going for my gym sessions and studying.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

The friendliness of everyone around.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

The school was quite welcoming as everyone including tutors were willing to show me around. That alone made it easy for me to fit in.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

The quality of teaching as well as the quality facilities all around.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

Shelagh Keogh who is my program leader.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Emil Petkov, one of my module tutors.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The 24/7 library on campus.

What is the best thing about your course?

The timing of lectures, they are very convenient.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Being friendly and always willing to assist others.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I will like to be a good IT project manager. My project management skills as well as my computing knowledge have vastly increased.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?

I have worked on presenting a bid proposal for grant to execute a project of establishing an IT firm with some of my classmates. My most memorable experience was knowing some facts about businesses here in Europe which i have never thought of or heard about before.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

They shouldn't think twice before applying to study in Northumbria University. This is the best place to be.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

My confidence and reasoning have improved.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Splendid, Worthwhile and Eventful.

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes!
