Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?
I chose Northumbria University, Newcastle because Northumbria provides the most student friendly atmosphere and amazing IT support. Plus, Northumbria has the most amazing and very helpful Staff and Faculty.
What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?
Newcastle offers a little to everyone. The city is a great place to live and study in. The locals are kind and welcoming. The region is green and beautiful. The Nightlife is amazing, but one of my favourite things to do in the city is taking a walk along the Quayside in the evening whilst the Gateshead Millennium Bridge is lit up with lights.
What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?
The most surprising thing about living in Newcastle is that I never felt away from home. The most impressing fact about Newcastle is the old Victorian Architecture, you can see it everywhere.
Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?
Northumbria University was very welcoming; they had a planned programme that helped me meet people from all around the world. I thought it was going to be hard to fit into the culture but people were welcoming and excited to meet me, which, made it super easy to fit into the University culture!

Making new friends, going out for parties in the Union, late night library dates - these are some things I have enjoyed most at University.
Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?
Since I started at Northumbria, my friends have helped me a lot, and the UG office to some extents.
Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?
I have gained inspiration from my friends and the Faculty Members.
What is your favourite place on campus?
The Cafe in the Newcastle Business School.
Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?
I have wanted to join, but couldn't find time to do so due to my studies.
What is the best thing about your course?
The best thing about my course is the Assessment Criteria. It's simple and well thought of.
What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?
Do not keep your work until the last minute and have fun.
What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?
I want to start my own business in the future and by enrolling at Northumbria, I have got the opportunity to work and improve my Presentation skills. I have had chances of presenting to an audience with valuable feedback which helped me improve my speaking skills.
If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?
Northumbria is an amazing University! It offers everyone somethin, so if someone is thinking of coming here - I would say go for it! I can guarantee you won't regret it!
