Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

I studied in the USA previously but discontinued due to personal reasons. I had to find another program that I would like and that would start in January.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I love the city! It's beautiful, the perfect size, lots of things to do, and nice people. I love enjoying the city's vibe just by walking around.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

I was surprised by the high costs of living. However, the city/region offers a lot including a beautiful scenery which impressed me most.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

The modern campus in a history rich city.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

Fellow students.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Fellow students.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Sport Central and the Business School.

What is the best thing about your course?

It is an interesting course with many international students.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Be open and interested in learning new and unknown things.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I have improved my general business knowledge and international competences. I want to continue my career and become a leader to achieve high goals together with my team.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?

Not in partnership with NU. But I have been contacted by a local recruiting & consultancy company and are helping them to increase their customer base in the DACH region.

Have you taken up any opportunities to travel with your current course/undertake field trips? If so, please tell us about them.

Yes, we went to Edinburgh & Beamish with my course.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Newastle is the perfect student city to increase your knowledge in whatever subject but also to enjoy your student life to the fullest. It's just perfect!

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

It definitely helped to improve my interpersonal skills, confidence, and English proficiency.

Best! Time! Ever!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?
