New Writing North and Northumbria University have an innovative collaborative learning and research partnership.
Our students gain professional experience and networking opportunities with industry representatives at the Newcastle Writing Conference (pictured right), Crime Story Festival and the Northern Writers Awards. New Writing North also work with Northumbria students on a variety of activities that support internships and alumni employment and work based learning opportunities, including a new Digital Internship exclusively available for Northumbria graduates.
New Writing North staff and authors also offer embedded provision at under and postgraduate levels across our English and Creative Writing programmes. Through our unique co-taught modules on Writing and Enterprise, Writing in an Industry Context, and Reflective Practice, our students meet writers, agents, publishers and other industry professionals to develop knowledge and insight that they can utilise to develop their own careers.
