The Financial Crime Compliance Research Interest Group

The FCC RIG brings together academics, lawyers and financial services professionals with a view to: Producing research outputs, designing and implemeting teaching materials, providing and hosting seminars, conferences and workshops, designing and providing tailored FCC awareness training consistent with stakeholder needs and international collaboration

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

Financial Crime Compliance (FCC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), Sanctions, Tax Evasion, Proceeds of Crime, Money Laundering Typologies, Financial Crime Threat Mitigation, Internal Controls, Internal Investigations, Risk Based Approach (RBA), Record Keeping, Source of Wealth (SOW), Source of Funds (SOF), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), Internal Reporting, External Reporting, the Role of the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and Nominated Officers, Tipping Off, Penalties, Complex Business Structures, Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) and Annual Compliance Reports (ACRs).
