In November 2023, Northumbria University's Many Hands Make Light
Work appeal raised over £38,000, thanks to generous donations from 464 alumni.
With this support we will be able
to provide more hardship bursaries for Northumbria students and help them to:
- pay for accommodation, food, utility, and childcare costs
- buy learning resources, kit and equipment;
- take part in field trips and transformational placement opportunities; and
- attend job interviews to support their development beyond Northumbria.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our dedicated alumni,
valued business partners, as well as charitable trusts and foundations we have
been able to support over 2,500 students since January 2022, proving that many
hands do indeed make light work.
