Building Opening Hours

The times below are the proposed dates for opening key facilities across Campus throughout the duration of the enhanced government restrictions (5th November – 2nd December):

All academic buildings will be open for access 8am-6pm Monday to Friday (8am-9pm for staff and PGR students), and 8am-5pm weekends.  A number of areas will remain subject to access control given the activities in those areas.

Pandon Building will be open for access 7am-9pm Monday to Friday and 7am-5pm weekends, subject to access control for essential access only.

Other areas:

City Library and Student Central

The Library will continue to be open from 8am – 10pm, seven days a week.

Ask4Help in Student Central is open 8am - 10pm, seven days a week. Ask4Help support materials continue to be accessible 24/7 via the Student Portal.

Law Practice Library will be open 1-5pm, Monday-Friday from Monday 16 November.

Coach Lane Library

Seven days a week 9am – 5pm.

IT Hubs

From Monday 16 November:

Digital Commons and Trinity IT Labs will be available 24/7.

Other digital hubs will be open in line with standard building opening times.

Sport Central

While the Hangout facility will remain open for student and staff use (9am – 5pm Mon-Fri), all sports facilities will be closed throughout the enhanced government restrictions.

Students’ Union

The main Students’ Union building will be open seven days a week 6am-6pm.

Habita will be closed throughout the enhanced government restrictions.

Catering and Retail

Although government guidance is that restaurants must close, the majority of campus catering outlets will remain open Mon-Fri to provide takeaway and enhanced grab and go options.

The University Shop in the Quad will remain open too, 9am – 5pm Mon-Fri.

Muslim Prayer Facility

Seven days a week 8am-6pm (smartcard access only)

Friday Prayers will not be held through the duration of the enhanced government restrictions.
