Our Alumni - Work For Us
TaPRA Conference 2024
The TaPRA Annual Conference 2024 will be hosted by Northumbria University in Newcastle-upon Tyne, from Wednesday 4 September to Friday 6 September.
It will be a hybrid event, facilitating participation by online delegates alongside those attending in person. Since our conference in 2021, we have been able to experience many benefits of online conferencing, such as increased opportunity for international presenters, lower financial costs to participate, greater accessibility for those with caring responsibilities, etc. The 2024 conference at Northumbria aims to retain the wider opportunities for engagement that online platforms offer, while also creating a space for in-person engagement and social interaction.
The conference programme will include:
- Curated panels and keynotes for the whole conference
- Parallel meetings of 13 working groups
- Open Panels hosted by working groups
- TaPRA Practice as Research gallery
- Events for ECR and PGR
- TaPRA prizes announcements 2024
In-person delegates will also be able to attend:
- Wine reception
- Evening performance
- Publishers’ stands
- Conference dinner
Conference Dinner
The Dinner will take place on Thursday 5th September from 7pm. The venue is restaurant and art gallery, The Biscuit Factory, Stoddart Street, Newcastle, who will provide buffet style food followed by a disco.
The Biscuit Factory is located in the Ouseburn, Newcastle (20min walk from campus). Welcome drink provided and bar available for additional drinks.
The Conference Dinner will cost an additional £50 for a ticket. Please select the option on your registration form.
We are also offering the option for you to pay for an extra ticket for the Conference Dinner, which will enable another delegate to attend. If you would like to do this, please select the option on your registration form.
More information about the conference will be available soon.
