  1. Status of these Terms and Conditions.  The Promotion shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions.  In addition, all instructions, rules and conditions relating to the Promotion shall form part of the Promotion.  But in the event of any conflict or inconsistency these Terms and Conditions will prevail.  

  2. Eligibility. Entrants must live in the United Kingdom or the European Union and be aged 18 years or over.  Staff of Northumbria University are not eligible to participate.  Nor is anyone connected with the administration of the Promotion. 

  3. How to enter. The Promotion is free to enter.  To enter the Promotion, you must complete or arrange the following: 
    a. You must sign up to the webinar during the promotion period described below; 
    b. You must refer One (1) non Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences person to sign up to the webinar during the promotion period;
    c. Those other people must use your personalised code (given by Northumbria University) when they sign up; and 
    d. You and they must each have a different name and email address (no duplicates entries).
     
  4. There can be only one entry per person.  Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint entries are not allowed. 

  5. Promotion period. The opening date for entries is 6 June 2020.  The closing date for the Promotion is 26 August 2020 at 2.00 pm (GMT). 

  6. Northumbria University accepts no responsibility for entries that are incomplete, or which are delayed, damaged, corrupted, misdirected or lost, or which cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of any entry does not constitute proof of its receipt.  

  7. Northumbria University has up to 100 vouchers to give away in connection with the promotion.   

  8. The voucher is non-exchangeable and non-transferable, and it is not redeemable for any other prize or monetary sum. 

  9. Method of selecting awardees.  It is intended that all valid entries from eligible entrants will be awarded the voucher.  However, if Northumbria University receives valid entries from more than 100 eligible entrants, the vouchers will be awarded to 100 entrants on a ‘first come first served’ basis. 

  10. Notification. Northumbria University will notify all entrants via email as soon as reasonably possible after the closing date if they have been awarded a prize (provided that entrants have supplied relevant contact information).  

  11. Northumbria University accepts no liability if notification is delayed or unsuccessful as a result of the entrant suppling contact details which are inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date.  

  12. If for any reason an awardee rejects his/her prize, or his/her entry is invalid, or he/she in ineligible to enter the Promotion, or he/she is otherwise in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the awardee’s prize will be forfeited and Northumbria University will be entitled to select an alternative entrant in accordance with the process described above.
     
  13. Claiming the voucher. The prize will be supplied to the awardees by Northumbria University (at its election) by email, by post or in person.  

  14. Publicity.  Northumbria University is required to either publish or make available information which indicates that the promotion took place and vouchers were awarded.  To comply with this obligation, Northumbria University will send the surname and country of each entrant awarded a voucher to anyone who emails or writes to Jack Williams at amsterdam@northumbria.ac.uk within thirty (30) days after the closing date stated in paragraph 5 above.  If you object to any of your surname or country being published or made available, please notify Northumbria University amsterdam@northumbria.ac.uk.  In such circumstances, Northumbria University must nonetheless supply the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. 

  15. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northumbria University’s total liability to each entrant in connection with the promotion or these Terms and Conditions, including any liability for negligence, is limited to the amount of the voucher or its monetary value. But this limitation will not apply to any liability for death or personal injury or for any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. 

  16. If the Promotion is publicised on Facebook, Twitter, Snap Chat, Instagram or any other social media platforms, the Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any of these social media platforms.  By participating in the Promotion, entrants agree to release and hold harmless each such social media platform from any and all liabilities incurred directly or indirectly in consequence of, or arising from, the promotion or participation in it. 

  17. Personal Data. Northumbria University and its third party processors (if any) will use and take care of any personal information you supply in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018, the Data Protection Act 2018 and Northumbria University’s privacy policy. Please also see paragraph 15 above with regard to the announcement of awardees. 

  18. Modifications. Northumbria University reserves the right to cancel, suspend or void the Promotion or to amend these Terms and Conditions where it becomes necessary to do so. 

  19. Severance.  If any provision or part-provision of the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision or part-provision will be deemed modified or deleted, but that will not affect the validity or enforceability of the rest of the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions.  

  20. Language.  The Promotion and these Terms and Conditions are written in the English language.  A translated version of the Promotion and these Terms and Conditions are available in any official UK/EU language upon written request.  But in the event of any conflict or inconsistency between any translated version and the English language version, the English language version will prevail.  

  21. Disputes. The decision of the Northumbria University regarding any aspect of the Promotion is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into about it. 

  22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction. The Promotion and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by English law and entrants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. 

  23. The Promoter. The Promoter of the Promotion is University of Northumbria at Newcastle (trading as ‘Northumbria University’), a higher education corporation and exempt charity in England, whose principal office is at Sutherland Building, College Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8ST.
     
  24. Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.  By submitting an entry or participating in the Promotion, entrants shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions and the instructions, rules and conditions of relating to the Promotion.
