Dr Mikhail Batuev is an Assistant Professor in Sport Management.
Mikhail's research interests include evolution of youth sports, mega-sport events and contexts around them. Mikhail graduated with the PhD in Sport Studies from the University of Stirling in 2016, upon completion of his research project on organisational evolution of snowboarding, skateboarding and sport climbing. He also holds an MBA degree in Football Industries from the University of Liverpool, which he completed in 2007 after being awarded a prestigious UK Chevening scholarship.
Mikhail worked in various roles in professional sport business, including a football club and a player agency. Most notably, he worked for Red Bull GmbH, one of the world’s most iconic and innovative consumer brands, for many years in various sport marketing roles.
