Marco Mason

Department: Northumbria School of Design

I am lecturer at the School of Design at the Northumbria University UK.

With a Ph.D. in Design Sciences (2012), I am specialized in Design Research for Digital Cultural Heritage.  I have been researching and teaching in leading research centres (in ITA, USA, and UK) that seek an interdisciplinary approach at the intersection of design, digital humanities/heritage,  museum studies, and social science for the study of digital media design and its practices.

Until February 2020 I am also  digital fellow for a AHRC founded project titled “One by One: Building Digital Confident Museums“, which aims to help UK museums of any size better define, improve, measure and embed the digital literacy of their staff and volunteers in all roles and at all levels.
