Contact UsThe MOBIE Northumbria Homes For The Future Innovation centre is part of MOBIE’s innovative career pathway which empowers young people to define how they want to live now, and in the future.

Northumbria University will co-fund 15 PhD studentships (five studentships starting each year) with industry partners, working together to define a research project that will address the needs of the business. A PhD student will then be appointed to work exclusively on that project, while pursuing their PhD studies.

Students and partner companies will have access to bespoke training programme which will give them the skills to transform the ways houses are built and delivered in the future. The ultimate aim of the programme is to make house building a clean, precision-engineered and efficient process with greater levels of quality control.
