In this talk, we will introduce the Networking strand in these two programmes. The three Network Technology modules provided in this strand are designed aligned with the Cisco Networking Academy (CCNA) curriculum, covering a spectrum of knowledge for designing, securing, operating, and troubleshooting modern computer networks, on the scale from small business networks to enterprise networks, with an emphasis on hands-on learning and essential career skills like problem solving and collaboration. Students are currently offered the opportunity to sit the optional CCNA exam within the Cisco Networking Academy after each module to obtain a CCNA module certificate of completion.

While the popular perception of Artificial Intelligence (AI) often drifts into the realm of science fiction, AI tools are being used today in industry and academia to gain significant commercial and competitive advantages and solve real problems affecting society. Quite often we hold strong opinions about certain phenomenon and will not accept anything to the contrary due to prejudice, religious beliefs and other superstitious thoughts. So how do you separate myths from facts? How do you tell the truth or come to a realistic resolution to the problem? The answers quite often are buried deep beneath the data. How do you turn data into a meaningful insight for decision making? How do you inform future actions from analysing data or to objectively explain a business problem by examining the data within its domain? This talk sheds light on such questions through real experiences of data analytics in a healthcare domain.
