New this year

Four of the buildings operated by Student Living by Sodexo are getting a communal space overhaul this year! Learn more about the new space that's being created for our residents.

Student Living by Sodexo, who operate several of the residences offered by Northumbria, will be overseeing an exciting refurbishment of reception spaces in Glenamara House, New Bridge Street, Trinity Square and Winn Studios.

Reception spaces in our residences are about much more than just reaching the front desk staff; they provide a communal space tailored to our residents. Through furniture choice and acoustic design, the environment can cater both to those looking for a quiet place to study as well as creating a vibrant social space to hang out with friends.

The designs have been created based on feedback from students, staff and parents and aim is to create a space that is both welcoming and functional; where our students can both relax and be engaged.

Works are under way to deliver the new and improved receptions in September 2018, just in time for moving in. Take a look at the designs below.
