Northumbria University – How It Works

You’ve already applied to Northumbria and hold an offer with us, but you wish to make a change about your course or firm/insurance choice.

 

Follow the advice on our Offer Holder Information webpage and complete our Request a Change form.

You've never applied to Uni or applied elsewhere and but want to come to Northumbria.

 

If you’ve never completed an application for Northumbria, it’s not too late – simply enquire via our Clearing Form and we’ll be in touch with more information.

You previously applied for Northumbria and declined the offer, but now you want to come back.

 

If you’ve previously applied for Northumbria, we may still have your details on record. Because of this, there’s no need to submit a new application. To find out if you’re eligible for a new offer, complete our Request a New Offer Form

COMMON QUESTIONS

 

No, changing your course shouldn't affect your accommodation. However, if you do receive an email from the accommodation teams to say differently, please give them a call on 0191 227 4201 straight away.

If your course and/or university will be different from those you entered on your Student Finance application, you should update your student finance account online at www.gov.uk/studentfinance as soon as you accept the new offer.

On your Student Finance England account, you should see a "make changes to your application". Alternatively, you can phone your funding provider to discuss any queries.

Yes, you can reapply, and you would not have to be interviewed again if you previously passed your interview in this cycle. You will need to meet the academic entry and any other requirements for the programme.

If you were previously unsuccessful at interview you can reapply, if you meet the academic criteria but you will need to attend an online interview again.
