2024/25 Postgraduate International Scholarship

We are delighted to offer the Northumbria International Scholarship, awarding Postgraduate Taught (PGT) students joining in September 2024 or January 2025 with a £1,000 fee discount, simply for choosing to study with us.

*Terms and Conditions

To be eligible for the Northumbria International Scholarship, you must:

  • Be an International student with ‘Overseas’ fee status
  • Be domiciled in Malaysia, USA, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, South Korea, Singapore, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Ghana, Lebanon, Morocco, Egypt, Kenya
  • Be a self-funded student (not in receipt of any sponsorship)
  • Be accepted and enrolled on a Full-Time Postgraduate Taught course at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus, starting in September 2024 or January 2025 (**see exclusions below)
  • Meet all individual course requirements

**Exempt Courses

  • Any Advanced Practice or Study Abroad Masters course
  • Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) MSc
  • Nursing Science Registered Nurse (Adult) MSc
  • Nursing Science Registered Nurse (Child) MSc
  • Nursing Science Registered Nurse (Mental Health) MSc
  • Nursing Science Registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities) MSc
  • Midwifery Studies MSc
  • Social Work MA
  • LPC, LPC Dip, Bar, Bar LLM

Important Information

  • The International Scholarship is applied automatically as a fee discount, so you do not need to make a separate application
  • Students on an Advanced Practice or Study Abroad Masters who transfer to the non-Advanced Practice or non-study Abroad route more than four weeks after the start of their course, will not be eligible for the International Scholarship
  • Sponsored students are not eligible for the International Scholarship
  • Students who are progressing from a partner institute where reduced fees and bespoke offers have been agreed, are not eligible for the International Scholarship
  • Students studying on an Integrated Masters course are not eligible for the International Scholarship in their final year
  • The International Scholarship is awarded as a fee discount and is not a cash sum
  • This scholarship is for new students only.  If you are a graduate of Northumbria University, you may be eligible for the Alumni Discount; please refer to the Alumni Discount page
  • If you defer your place, the scholarship offer will be withdrawn
  • The University's decision is final and cannot be challenged; there is no right of appeal
