Timeline of key deadlines

3 & 24 October, 21 November 2026
Autumn open days
Visit universities to get a feel for the place and ask questions. Visit Northumbria in October and November.

Equal consideration deadline
This is the equal consideration date for most undergraduate courses. Applications submitted by this deadline, including all personal details and the academic reference, are guaranteed to be considered.

January to April 2027
Offer holder days
At Northumbria, our offer holder days run from January to April. These are experience days, designed to give you a flavour of university life.

UCAS Extra opens
Applicants who have used all five choices and are not holding any offers may be able to add a further choice through UCAS Extra from this date.

March to June 2027
UCAS exhibitions
These events are a great way for you to speak to university representatives from across the country, a little closer to home. Find out when Northumbria will be at a UCAS exhibition in a town near you.

Late June 2027
Summer open days
Whether you're just starting your university research, or finalising your decisions, summer open days are a great opportunity to experience the vibe.

Final deadline before Clearing
Applications received by this deadline will be forwarded to universities and colleges as normal. After this point, applications are automatically entered into Clearing.

Last day to add an Extra choice
This is the final day applicants can add a further choice through Extra to their application.

Clearing opens
Clearing opens for eligible applicants.

10 August 2027
QUALIFICATIONS SCOTLAND results day
Students in Scotland receive their QS results.

12 August 2027
JCQ LEVEL 3 results day
Students in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland receive Level 3 JCQ results, such as A-Levels, T-Levels, BTEC Nationals, and EPQs.

19 August 2027
GCSE results day
Students in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland receive Level 1 and 2 results, such as GCSEs.
