Destination Northumbria- July update!
Hi everyone, welcome to your last DN monthly update.
Hopefully you all aced your exams and are now enjoying some well-earned rest (and good weather)!
July is your last chance to complete the 3 sessions needed to get the DN Incentive. Webinars are still available to watch here on the resource page, and you have until the 31st July to complete. Remember to scan the QR code at the end for it to count.
The completion incentive will be a voucher for the item of your choice, and all you need to do is email us with a paragraph describing how the voucher will help you in your first year of uni. It could be a shopping voucher for a big warm coat to help you acclimatise to Newcastle winters… or an Ikea voucher to help set up your new accommodation, or even an electronics voucher for the coffee machine of dreams to get you up for lectures on time! The choice is yours and we will email everyone who is enrolled, and completed DN, with the value of the voucher and a reminder to get in touch with us in late Sept/early Oct.
Part of the DN offer is an automatic interview for part time work with the Uni as a rep. All you need to do is complete the Evaluation and mark your interest. We are also always on the lookout for new ‘stars’ for our webinar series on DN, so if you would like to take part and share any of your experiences/passions please also mark this on the evaluation form. We really do value your feedback, and this helps shape what we can offer to future students.
Everyone who took part in DN this year will also be invited to a Transition Event in September, so please keep an eye out for emails once enrolled.
We hope you have enjoyed your DN journey and as always, if you have any questions relating to Uni, the team are happy to help, and you can contact us at destination.northumbria@northumbria.ac.uk.
