Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?
This university looked the best and heard positive experiences from other students.
What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?
A great community that is welcoming and friendly. I enjoy playing football as well as visiting Saint James Park when Newcastle United play.
What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?
The development of the area with places like Eldon Square being developed. The city of Newcastle is fantastic with useful things not found in other cities such as the metro.
Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?
I found the university fairly welcoming and found groups of people that i could fit in with.
What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?
The course as well as meeting lots of new people.
Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?
The people I became friends with and later live with.
Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?
The teaching staff that have helped me throughout my course.
What is your favourite place on campus?
Outside the library on a hot sunny day.
Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?
No.
What is the best thing about your course?
Learning new information and perspectives surrounding crime.
What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?
Bibliography, reading and referencing are vital.
What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?
Police Officer. The confidence to talk to other people and view new perspectives.

No.
Have you taken up any opportunities to travel with your current course/undertake field trips? If so, please tell us about them.
No field trips apart from a visit to magistrates court.
If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?
Ensure you try your hardest and do not look back on your degree with any regrets.
How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?
A more well rounded and confident individual.
