Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

The course was perfect for my future goals.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I have been very impressed living in Newcastle, following along with the passion for sport is great.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

How compact the city really is, the University is conveniently close to the shopping centre and anything you could really ask for.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, very welcoming, I had no problems at all getting on with my new flatmates or coursemates.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

The degree of extra freedom and responsibility I have had to take on.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Working with some of the expert lecturers shows what is really possible in this field of work.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Sport Central!

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?

I play for the Men's Table Tennis Team, winning the league, getting to the final of the cup and winning Stan Calvert have to be highlights!

What is the best thing about your course?

Getting to learn more about the areas I enjoy in much more detail than I have before.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Don't let assignment deadlines pile up too much.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

Coaching or Teaching sport - The coaching aspects of the course have been ideal for this kind of pathway.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?

No placements as of yet - I'm looking to volunteer in a Junior school after my exams though.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

The best way to get a feel for a place is to come and visit. When I visited Newcastle and the campus of Northumbria I could instantly picture myself living and studying here.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

It's very cliché but being moved out of your comfort zone into a new scenario with new people gives you no other option than to improve your confidence - not at all in a scary way though!

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Altogether too quick!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Definitely!
