Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

I was here as an Erasmus student some years ago and I loved the way Northumbria works.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

It is the perfect place for students! From sports to nightlife, you can do anything here.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

People always have time to help you with a smile.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming?  Was it easy to fit in?

From the first moment. International students have some specialist events to learn how University and City works.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

The atmosphere that surrounds the campus

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

The 24/7 library is great!

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Lecturers and the way they invite you to to take an active part in sessions.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Sport Central

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects?  Tells us about the highlights?

I played in the basketball team during my time at Northumbria.

What is the best thing about your course?

The international approach I have found in class and with the people and lecturers.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

To have an international perspective

What do you want to do in the future?  What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I would like to work in a sport organisation in the marketing department. My course is helping me to learn all I need to succeed!

Have you taken up any opportunities to travel with your current course/undertake field trips?  If so, please tell us about them.

My course includes a trip to Lausanne to visit some international sport commities.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Come and get the best of this experience, from the University and the city itself.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

International, practical and open.
