John Lee

Criminology & Criminal Justice MA

"The best thing about being a student at Northumbria University was a field trip to Amsterdam. That field trip broke down so many social barriers between myself and able-bodied students. I think that sometimes they were a little bit scared of my disabilities, but that field trip made them [realise] that I am just a human being.

"I couldn't put into words how proud I am [to be a Northumbria student], I do actually wear my Northumbria University hooded top with pride."
