Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

I chose Northumbria University because the University provided me a direct entry to final year after I graduated from Diploma in one of the partnership colleges in my home country. Besides, the university offer reasonable prices compared to others and the Investment course is hard to find in other UK universities.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

In my opinion, Newcastle is a safe place and great place to stay. The people here are friendly. My favourite thing to do here is to enjoy the awesome weather here! Moreover, I like shopping here as well.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

Indeed, what impressed me the most the citizens in Newcastle. Before I came to this country, I was told that some of the people here might be discriminate on Asians. However, after living here so such a long time, I have never faced such problems. Instead, the people here are nice and ready to help. I am so glad that I made a choice to come and study here.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Absolutely yes. The University's staff are really great and friendly to International Students like me. They never turn down my request to help.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

I enjoy the learning session here the most regardless if it is a lecture or seminar session of self-learning. Both experiences are important and great for me. The subscriptions of massive business journals by the University fulfilled my learning desire.

What is your favourite place on campus?

My favoutrite place is the library.

What is the best thing about your course?

The availability of the Bloomberg Financial Terminal which helps students to do investment researches.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Several important stock analysis that are crucial to real-time scenario.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I wish to be an investment analyst in the future. The use of Bloomberg Financial Terminal in the University helped me to improve my analysis and research skills and this is going to lead me to my desire career path.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Relax and enjoy the learning time here.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

Firstly, I gained confidence in many aspects, particularly in speaking.
