Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

The course was unique, the city has amazing nightlife and it isn't too far from home.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I love Newcastle, the nightlife is unreal, there are many restaurants and activities like bowling, cinema, trips to seaside resorts etc.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

How easy it is to learn the city and how friendly the people are.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Very welcoming, on my first day there was a team of volunteers helping people move in, on the first day of my course there were goodie bags handed out and introductions to staff and several activities to make new friends.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Meeting new people, living away from home in an amazing city and becoming more independent.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

People in the years above me on my course, they explain what work I have ahead of me and gave me advice on how to deal with it.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The Law and Business building, it's a great atmosphere to work in.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?

I did volunteer Northumbria and Welcome Week, they are great opportunities to meet new people and do something that looks good on your CV.

What is the best thing about your course?

The fact that it combines the degree with a masters and a solicitors/barristers qualification.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Keep an eye on what you spend.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

Become a solicitor, the practical nature of my course prepares me well for in practice.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

I would definitely recommend it, Newcastle is a great city and is small enough to still feel friendly and Northumbria has a great reputation.

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes!
