Partnerships

Contact UsWorking in partnership with external organisations supports the department and wider university in its research and teaching. Partnerships are important to ensure that our research has maximum impact, allowing us to apply our expertise and knowledge to help business and other organisations develop and grow. Partnerships also inform our teaching and help prepare our students for their future careers.

We have established links with a range of different companies and organisations from those that provide professional placements to our students to those we are working with on joint research projects. We have vibrant employer liaison boards that meet regularly to support our students and ensure our courses are cutting-edge and relevant. The boards include companies such as Accenture, Eutechnyx, Hewlett Packard, Nissan, Proctor & Gamble, Sage, Waterstons, Newcastle Libraries, PWC and RIBA Enterprises Ltd.

We are also working closely with Dynamo North East, and sponsor the skills strand of their organisation. Working with Dynamo, we are highly passionate about and currently focusing on growing the technology sector in the North East of England. We are also members of the North East and Tees Valley Digital Catapult, one of a number of regional hubs supporting the UK’s National Digital Catapult Centre.  The local centre has a specific aim to help innovators bring digital services and products to market.
