Testing the market, setting up an enterprise unit or preparing to spinout

Speakers:
Georgios Koutsidis (HLS - Northumbria University)
Hugh Rhodes (RBS - Northumbria University)

Beyond consulting and collaborative research, you may have commercial interest in your research work which goes further than a single collaboration project.  In these circumstances it is worth discussing how an Enterprise Unit or spin-out business could be established.

Georgios Koutsidis will discuss the activity that has led to the establishment of Foodtrac a Food Analysis consulting offer.

Hugh Rhodes will talk about ways to demonstrate market demand; the requirements for establishing an Enterprise Unit; and what a spin-out business needs to be successful.
