Managing Returning to Work Safely and Legally - Free Webinar
Managing Returning to Work Safely and Legally Webinar
This free webinar will help you minimise the risks of Covid-19 when employees return to work.
Employers are understandably concerned about asking employees to return to work. If you’d like to understand more about Covid-19 and what you need to put in place to minimise the risk of infection when you reopen, then this is the webinar for you.
The session will be delivered as a webinar by two Northumbria University academics:
Wendy Pollock, Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health
Wendy has expertise in viral infection, viral transmission and health and wellbeing
Angela Macfarlane, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business and Law
Angela has extensive expertise in employment law.
There will also be an opportunity to gain practical insights and learn from the experiences of north east family firm The Steam Machine Brewing Company, an organisation that has safely maintained its operations during the first months of the pandemic.
Through participating in the webinar, you will:
- Understand the key considerations you’ll need to explore to develop a safe reopening strategy
- Dispel myths about the corona virus that causes COVID-19, understand how it is transmitted and consider what ‘safe working’ means for your business
- Understand when and how to use masks and gloves correctly to reduce the risk of viral transmission between employees and customers
- Consider approaches to support employees’ mental health and wellbeing
- Understand how to assess employee readiness to return to work
- Be aware of the policies you need to have in place, and consider any training requirements
- Understand the contractual implications of changing patterns of work or dealing with flexible working requests
- Explore options as to what you can do about annual leave
This webinar will take place on the following two dates:
Thursday June 25th 2020 at 10am - 11am
Tuesday June 30th 2020 at 10am - 11am
To register, please complete the following form and choose which date you would like to participate. We will then send you a link for the specific date you have chosen:
