Celebrating Children and Young People’s Nursing Conference, 2025 ‘Our Present, Our Future’

Northumbria University is delighted to be hosting this national conference in partnership with the Great North Childrens Hospital (Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust), Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Childrens Nursing Services) and South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust (Childrens Nursing Services).

Conference aim:

This conference will provide one of the largest national and international forums for children and young people’s (CYPs) nurses to collaborate and network on a range of contemporary topics relevant to their practice.   

A broad range of activities is planned with the aim to connect, inspire, and educate, encouraging thought provoking exchanges. Delegates will be offered the opportunity to share ideas and experiences for the present and future of the profession, meeting the needs of children, young people, and their families.  

Conference Programme:

The full conference programme will be launched by early June 2025.   Over the two days, a range of speakers and sessions will feature, including a variety of exhibition stalls.

  • RCN accreditation applies only to the educational content, and not to any product.RCN cannot confirm competence of any practitioner.

  • RCN accreditation expires 9th April 2026.

  • Continuing Professional Development Hours are available for delegates ( 7 or 14 hours) -depending on whether a delegate attends one or both days of the conference.

  • Delegates will be provided with a Certificate of Attendance within 14 working days following the end of the conference. This will be sent to the delegates preferred email address provided on their conference registration form.

  • RCN Accreditation focuses on continuing professional development and does not mean that the course (conference attendance) has been accredited as equivalent to education or assessment that would demonstrate advanced level practice.The course (conference attendance) cannot be used as a route for RCN Credentialing.The course (conference attendance) is intended for continuing professional development, provides a knowledge base only and is not suitable for preparation for a new role.
