Ethics Applications and Reviews

On this page, you can find the applicant portal for the Ethics Online System, where you can submit your research project's application for ethical approval. Members of the Ethics College of Reviewers can also access the reviewer portal here as well. Explore the 'External Ethical Approvals' section for comprehensive information on various external approvals, particularly those related to NHS or IRAS.

Towards the bottom of the page, you'll find a repository of Ethics Online System resources within dropdown menus. These resources include user guides to facilitate your system usage and templates for your application, should you require them. For additional guidance and support, please refer to the 'Training and Guidance' section on the previous page.

Please note that ethical approval must be obtained prior to the commencement of all research projects.

Additionally, please be aware that applications submitted in the previous system, which closed on 21st October 2022, are no longer accessible as the system is now unavailable.
