To drive world-leading interdisciplinary research at Northumbria University that addresses critical sex and gender disparities in sport and wellbeing.

Objectives

  1. Foster Collaboration: Enable and support cross-faculty collaboration to generate innovative interdisciplinary research ideas and competitive funding proposals.
  2. Build Strategic Partnerships: Connect and engage Northumbria researchers with key stakeholders across regional, national, and international sport, health, and wellbeing sectors.
  3. Accelerate Research Impact: Deploy seed funding and PhD studentships strategically to catalyse high-impact research that positions Northumbria at the forefront of global efforts to close sex and gender gaps in sport and wellbeing.
