Our Alumni - Work For Us
Working with the Global Spaceflight Community
The Aerospace Medicine and Rehabilitation Laboratory maintains strong, active partnerships with leading space agencies and organisations worldwide. Our long-standing collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) has positioned us as a trusted partner in multiple analogue and bedrest studies, while our work with NASA and the Canadian Space Agency reflects growing international recognition of our expertise.
The UK Space Agency has also provided key funding to support our contributions to high-profile ESA-led missions and campaigns.
Industry and Technology Partners
Our work is deeply integrated with industry, reflecting a shared commitment to translational innovation. We collaborate with Western Clinical Engineering, Delfi Medical Innovations Inc., and Kayser Space Ltd. to develop flight-ready exercise technologies such as the PTSS. These partnerships ensure our research not only advances scientific knowledge but also leads to commercially viable, deployable solutions for space and Earth.
Expanding into the Commercial Space Sector
Recognising the rapid growth of the private space industry, the lab has established relationships with leading and emerging commercial spaceflight providers, such as SpaceX, Axiom Space and Vast Space. These collaborations open new pathways for testing and deploying health technologies aboard commercial crewed missions and future commercial space stations, reflecting our vision to support the next generation of astronauts — professional and private alike.
Through these strategic partnerships, the lab continues to operate at the intersection of academia, industry, and spaceflight operations, fostering a network that accelerates innovation and global impact.
