Research Data Management

Northumbria University’s vision is to grow our high quality research and apply our knowledge for the benefit of individuals, society and the economy. The University recognises that effective management of research data is an essential part of the research process, and supports the principle that research data should be made available for re-use wherever possible.

To ensure that research data is widely accessible to the research community, Northumbria has adopted a Research Data Management Policy. The Policy has been developed in accordance with funder (in particular RCUK) requirements around data management, and applies to all research conducted at the University.

The Policy:

  • Defines research data in this context
  • Outlines the principles of research data management that the University has adopted
  • Outlines responsibilities for research data management
