OUR GUARANTEES

Guaranteed accommodation in university-owned or university-commissioned residences to all New Full-time Undergraduate students who book their accommodation by midnight 30th June 2026.*
- Not accepted? No worries. If you do not meet the requirements of your course offer with Northumbria, we will refund your advance rent payment, less a £50 early termination fee.
- Flexible payments: Apart from the £250 advance rent, there are no other upfront costs. Rent payments are split into three instalments which fall in line with the dates of your maintenance loan payments. Other payment options are available.**
- Northumbria community. Book a room with us and we guarantee you'll be living exclusively with other Northumbria students.
* For students starting in September 2026, Northumbria University guarantees accommodation in university-owned or university-commissioned residences to all New Full-Time Undergraduate students who apply for their accommodation by midnight 30th June 2026. The accommodation guarantee applies to new first-year undergraduate students (home and international) only who have accepted a course offer from Northumbria on a full-time taught programme. Accommodation bookings must be completed via the Northumbria Student Portal by midnight 30th June 2026. The accommodation guarantee is an offer of a room in a university-owned or university-commissioned residence. Students need to sign a tenancy agreement and make an accommodation advance rent payment to complete their booking. The accommodation guarantee applies to full-year, single-occupancy bookings only.
We strive to match your accommodation preferences as best as possible, however, please be advised that this is not always viable due to availability and the popularity of some residences.
We encourage students to book accommodation early and always in advance of travelling to Northumbria University.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer accommodation to students who do not attend Northumbria University.
