Accommodation Guarantee

We want to continue to make sure that you are in control of your accommodation booking. Our guarantees to you are here to make our position clear, to answer any questions you have and to give you the confidence you need to secure your accommodation booking for the 2024/25 academic year.

OUR GUARANTEES

  • Guaranteed accommodation in university-owned or university-commissioned residences to all New Full-time Undergraduate students who book their accommodation by midnight 18th August 2024.*
  • Not accepted? No worries. If you do not meet the requirements of your course offer with Northumbria, we will refund your advance rent payment, less a £50 early termination fee.
  • Flexible payments: Apart from the £250 advance rent, there are no other upfront costs. Rent payments are split into three instalments which fall in line with the dates of your maintenance loan payments. Other payment options are available.**
  • Northumbria community. Book a room with us and we guarantee you'll be living exclusively with other Northumbria students.

* Northumbria University guarantees accommodation in university-owned or university-commissioned residences to all New Full-Time Undergraduate students who apply for their accommodation by midnight Sunday 18th August 2024. The accommodation guarantee applies to new Undergraduate students only (Home and International) who have firmly accepted a course offer from Northumbria on a full-time taught programme. Accommodation bookings must be completed via the Student Portal by midnight 18th August 2024. The accommodation guarantee is an offer of a room in a university-owned or university-commissioned residence. Students need to sign a tenancy agreement and make an accommodation advance rent payment to complete their booking. The accommodation guarantee applies to full-year, single-occupancy bookings only.

Please Note - Applications for accommodation through clearing will take a little longer than usual to process given the volume of applications expected across this weekend. Please bear with us, and we will get back to you as quickly as we can. Due to a high volume of applications, we're unable to provide multiple room offers and we encourage students to strongly consider the room details before declining their accommodation.
