You can book your room in Quay Point in five easy steps:

1. Confirm Northumbria University as your Firm/First choice University.

If you are applying via UCAS, please log into UCAS Track and accept your course offer as Firm. Please note this might take up-to 48h to be updated on the University system.
If you are applying via Clearing, please log into UCAS Track and refer yourself to confirm your course offer.

If you are a direct entry applicant, please visit the Applicant Portal to review and accept your course offer. To learn more about the process and the required steps, you can visit the After You Apply page.

2. Receive your student portal login details via email, log in and go to the Accommodation section to start your application.

You might need to wait up-to 48 hours for UCAS to update and using your applicant portal login details (you will have received this via email when you applied) select the Accommodation section to start your application.

Top Tip: Make sure you register with your personal email address and not one associated to a school/college. School/College email addresses are often closed after you leave and can delay the process.

Lost your login details? Get in touch with our IT team by calling the Service Desk on 0191 227 4242 or by using IT Chat

3. Select your bedroom

View the building floor plan and select the exact bedroom you want to live in based on real-time availability. Browse through the available options using our self-selection system and make your room selection. You can see some general details about your flatmates, such age, country of origin, course and level of study.

We recommend students book accommodation early and always in advance of travel.
Bookings made during July and August are completed via an application form. Please include a minimum of five accommodation choices and submit your flatmate preferences to allow us to process your details. The team will contact you via email with a room offer, please check your emails regularly, including your spam folder.

Did you know? If you are a postgraduate student, the booking system will automatically show you available flats with other postgraduate students or students who might be in their final year.

4. Complete your contract

If you are booking Quay Point, you will be asked to provide the details of a guarantor. A guarantor is a person who shares financial responsibility for your contract in the event you are unable to pay your rent.

Top Tip: Make sure you read your contract carefully as it is a legally binding contract. If you don’t understand anything, get in touch, we will be happy to run through it with you.

5. Pay your advance rent payment

You will be contacted by Unite Students to confirm your guarantor details and finalise your booking by signing a tenancy agreement and making a £250 advance rent payment.

Once you've completed the process above, the room is secured for you. You will also get access to the MyUnite app to help you connect with flatmates before you arrive.

Your data will be processed in accordance with our accommodation Privacy Notice. By submitting your application you are confirming that you have read this privacy notice.
