Carousel Distance Learning

We give a warm welcome to all Carousel Distance Learning Students.

To get your journey with us off to the best start, please expand the sections below for the essential actions you need to take, beginning with Enrol Now. On this page you'll also find your Welcome Pack (pdf version), a comprehensive resource packed with information and tips to ensure a smooth and successful start to your programme.

An email will be sent to your personal email address when it is time to enrol.

The University sends enrolment emails in batches in the weeks before your programme start date, so you may receive yours at a different time from other students.

To study at Northumbria, all students must be enrolled. As a Carousel Distance Learning student, you can enrol from home and are not required to travel to campus.

Enrolment gives you access to:

  • Your Programme site and teaching schedule
  • University IT systems

You must complete your enrolment by the deadline provided by your Enrolment Advisor.

See Enrolling or re-enrolling onto your Carousel Distance Learning programme in Ask4Help Online on your Student Portal for full guidance.

If you have forgotten your username, please contact IT Chat. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset this using DUO (UK mobile numbers only) or via IT Chat.

Important information about paying tuition fees during enrolment:

If you are self-funded or using a postgraduate loan (Student Finance England / Student Finance Wales), you will need to pay for your first module during enrolment.
