Ankita Ambani

MBA

B&L_Ankita -Ambani _Student _NBS-MBAWhy did you choose this course?

The Newcastle Business School MBA programme is very well defined. This course gave me hands-on experience in the form of seminars and a simulation-based business game. It gave us international exposure by visiting different companies in Canada and it was very interesting to know how companies in different countries function.

What has been your most memorable moment on the course?

The study trip to Canada with my MBA peers. We shared our knowledge, skills, experience and ideas to maximise our learning.

What do you like most about the course?

The best thing about my course is the tutors, who have very good knowledge in
their field and are open to new ideas. Also, the practical experience provided
to the students in the form of consulting projects, industrial visits and the business game has been brilliant.

What has been your most challenging experience so far?

The consulting project where we had to identify the gap in our client’s business and recommend strategies to fill that gap and make their business prosper.

What appealed to you about Northumbria University?

I’m from India and looked at many universities. The best thing about Northumbria was the location; it is right in the centre of Newcastle and it has easy access to all public transport and shopping.

How did you feel during your first week at Northumbria?

During the first week I was a little anxious as I was away from home and new to Newcastle, but the people around and the volunteers in the University made me feel comfortable. They helped me during the application process and guided me at each stage.

What would you like to do when you graduate?

I would like to go back to my home country and work in a consulting firm.

What three words would you use to summarise your time here?

Learning, growth and fun.
