Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

I know people who came here and they enjoyed it. I love Newcastle.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

People are lovely, there is a real sense of community and people look out for each other.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

Living in the city is very different to the country side I am surprised how quiet my building can be even though im in the city centre. I am impressed with the warmth of the people and how friendly everyone is.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes. It was very easy to fit in, Freshers helped with that very much.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

The people on the front desk of my accommodation and new and old friends studying at Northumbria.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

One of my tutors Tom Ellis who is a graduate and not much older than me.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The 24/7 library.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

How to get by on my own, manage time and money, stay safe, who are good people to be friends with and who aren't.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I want to be a teacher and I have grown up a lot which is the most useful thing so far I've gained

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

I would say to stay open minded and try everything and take every opportunity that comes your way.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I believe I have better people skills, generally happier, more confident in my self that I can look after myself and get along with out family.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Fun, learning curve

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes!
