What's it like to study at Northumbria?

I love studying at Northumbria, I've had so many opportunities to do new things, things I'd never have been able to do if I hadn't gone to Northumbria University. I hope to enjoy my last few years left here!

Best thing about studying Law

The diversity and inclusion. No one is picked for a specific reason; we all can do it.

Favourite thing to do on campus / community

I love hanging out with my friends at Habita. I feel like part of the community; I can easily go up to anyone and have a long conversation, and everyone is so friendly!

Course & career goals / industry links

I'm currently studying Law, and this will help me become a solicitor in the future!

A time you realised you were capable of more

When I first started university I was terrible at speaking in front of a bunch of people. I was comfortable speaking with other students in little groups, so when it came to doing presentations I would stumble on my words or forget what I would talk about as a whole! However, my seminar tutor taught me to just think there's no one in the room and just slow down as speaking too fast was what was making me stumble over my words. Using his advice I got so much better at presentations, I can now do a presentation without being too afraid!

Support that boosted confidence / ambition

Northumbria University helped me win a Santander prize of £250. This money helped me very much with getting my supplies and also being more money confident.

Advice for someone considering Northumbria

Definitely come study at Northumbria University. I've met so many great people and experienced loads of new things! Also, don't be afraid to try something new!
