Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

Rated as one of the best universities in England.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

It was a little bit scary at first (especially the lectures), but the staff are helpful and over time it became easy to talk to other students.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Meeting new people, who I wouldn't have met if I had not chosen to attend Northumbria.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

Staff, friends and peers.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Everyone! Each person has a skill that they're great at and if I'm going to improve, then I have to learn and be inspired by everyone! 

What is your favourite place on campus?

Dance studios in Squires Building. 

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?

Dance society! Highlights have been the competitions, the socials and the people I've met. 

What is the best thing about your course?

It makes me see all the opportunities there is within sport and what I need to improve on to be a better coach.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

My communication and leadership skills have developed over the year.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Join Northumbria! It's a great city with great people. It's a great university. Get involved and be in a society!

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I think that overall I've become more confident and I've become a lot more independent.

Challenging, Fun, Amazing
