Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

Great course, great city and great people.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I love Newcastle and the surrounding area, there are loads of things to do from all the bars and restaurants to the cultural aspects along NewcastleGateshead Quays.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

People are really friendly and its a lively place to live, there is always something going on.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, very welcoming and easy to fit in, being in halls helps with that.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Really interesting course and a great city to study in. Everyone is always helpful and friendly.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

Lecturers have been really helpful, its great to know you are welcome to go to them with any problems whenever you need.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The Students' Union is a great place to go and relax over lunch.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects?  Tells us about the highlights?

I loved Welcome Week in second year.

What is the best thing about your course?

Up to date issues make it interesting, lecturers are all very knowledgeable and have practical experience, very helpful in the real world, you become equipped to go and work in the field when the degree is complete.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

You can do really well if you put the time and effort in.

What do you want to do in the future?

Go on to do my RICS APC and become qualified 

What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I've improved my confidence massively.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?

Yes a placement at Sunderland City Council, an invaluable experience and something everyone should try and do.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Throw yourself into doing everything, lectures, work, friends, going out. Get enough sleep! Do a placement.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I know what I want to do and have the confidence in my ability to do it.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Memorable, fulfilling, hectic.

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes.
